What is Access 2 Work?

Access 2 Work is a free, new service for London Borough of Tower Hamlets residents that are looking for work or training.

Working in partnership with organisations such as Barts & the London NHS Trust, City University, Job Centre Plus, NHS Tower Hamlets, Tower Hamlets College, Queen Mary University and many others, we are able to access a vast spectrum of jobs and training opportunities for you.

At Access 2 Work we have 15 experienced Employment Advisors working from 14 community organisations across Tower Hamlets. Our advisors will give you confidential one to one support, debt advice, assist with job search, provide help with application forms, CV structuring and interview techniques. They also have access to a large database of training and jobs to suite your experience and skills.

We understand that finding work can be more difficult for some groups more than others, so in addition to our general advisor team we have specialist advisors for women, young people and those of Bangladeshi, Somali or Eastern European origin. Our goal is to assist you into employment, so whether you have just been made redundant, are unemployed or just want to gain new skills through training, we can help!

Who is eligible?

Whilst we would like to be able to assist all job seekers, at the moment we can only work with residents from the Tower Hamlets Borough who have recourse to public funds; this simply means you are entitled to claim benefits such as income support, job seekers allowance etc. You don’t have to be claiming any benefits – so long as you are eligible to receive state benefits and live in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, we can help.
